Network Cables

Shopping for network cables can be confusing to some who don't know how to differentiate the difference of each types of cables. You can not expect everyone to know what the colors of these network cables mean? To any layman, buying a network cable is like buying a phone cord, needless to say that these cables may look the same, but look carefully as the width is different. Network cables are wider and it uses an RJ-45 plug as compared to a phone cord that uses an R-J11 plug. Cross-over cables can be easily distinguished than straight-through cables by comparing both ends. If both ends are the same, it is a straight-through cable; if it is different, then it is a cross-over cable.
